Glossary
Refurbished
A previously used or returned device that a professional provider checks, cleans and repairs when needed before reselling it. The exact refurbishment process differs by provider.
At Fyndl: We compare professional offers and keep the original source visible so you can verify its process and terms.
Glossary
Used
A device that has already been used. The word alone says nothing about professional testing, the seller or buyer protection.
At Fyndl: We separate usage history from condition, seller and guarantee instead of treating them as one quality promise.
Glossary
B-stock / open-box
A product no longer sold as regular new stock, for example because its packaging was opened, it was returned or has a cosmetic flaw. It is not automatically refurbished.
At Fyndl: We do not treat B-stock as a quality guarantee. The exact description and contracting seller still matter.
Glossary
Condition grade
A label for the stated cosmetic condition, such as “like new”, “very good” or grades A, B and C. These labels are not automatically equivalent across platforms.
At Fyndl: We map different provider labels into one shared scale. You should still read the original offer description before buying.
Glossary
Battery health
An indication of remaining battery capacity and technical battery condition. A percentage is not the current charge level and does not guarantee a specific runtime.
At Fyndl: We only show battery information when a source provides it. A missing value remains unknown rather than being treated as good condition.
Glossary
Guarantee
A voluntary additional promise from a manufacturer, retailer or platform. Its duration, covered parts, exclusions and process are defined in the guarantee terms.
At Fyndl: We display a documented duration for comparison. You still need to check whether items such as the battery or accessories are included.
Glossary
Statutory warranty
Legal rights against the seller when an item was defective on delivery or the cause of the defect already existed. It is separate from a voluntary guarantee.
At Fyndl: Fyndl does not sell the device. The relevant seller and binding terms are always shown by the contracting provider.
Glossary
Right of withdrawal
The right to withdraw from a distance contract under the applicable legal conditions and deadline. It is distinct from a platform's voluntary return policy.
At Fyndl: We display documented return periods as guidance. The concrete shop and checkout terms remain authoritative.
Glossary
Contracting seller
The company or person your purchase contract is with. On a marketplace, this can be a merchant other than the platform itself.
At Fyndl: We are a comparison layer, not the seller. Each offer leads to the shop or marketplace that identifies the contracting party.
Glossary
Reference price / new price
A comparison value for the same or a closely comparable device when new. It is meaningful only when model, configuration and date align.
At Fyndl: We use an evidenced new price as a reference and distinguish an unknown value from zero. It does not automatically determine the ranking.
